WARNING! Cat Food Recalled Because Of Salmonella Contamination And Cats Are Not The Only Ones At Risk

 A Utah company Go Raw is recalling its Quest brand two-pound frozen bags of beef cat food. The recall happen after a sample tested positive for salmonella.
Health officials say cats are not the only ones at risk, humans who handle the food made be as risk for salmonella as well.

Consumers are told to check their bags of Quest Beef Cat Food for a code on the package that reads: UPC 6-91730-17101-8, Lot N128.

Symptoms of salmonella infections in pets include being lethargic, diarrhea, fever, vomiting, lower appetite and abdominal pain.

Pets can infect other animals or humans.

Consumers with questions should contact the company at 801-432-7478, Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 4pm MST.

Pet owners who fear their cat may have ate the recalled product and has fallen ill should contact their vet.
